We're so thrilled you're part of the Brooklyn Youth Chorus family! Your passion for music and our community is truly inspiring, and we know you're our best advocates. This toolkit makes it easy to share your love for BYC with friends, family, and your social networks and encourage them to join. Feel free to share in whatever way works best for you: social media, personal texts, etc.

On this page, you'll find everything you need to spread the word about joining pre-prep for children ages 5-6, scheduling a placement audition for singers ages 7-18, as well as info about our performing ensembles. You'll find ready-to-use templates for social media posts, stories, reels, and simple instructions on how to explain the process to join. 🎶 I'm always amazed by the programs at Brooklyn Youth Chorus, and I wanted to highlight one that might be perfect for a young singer you know!

Being part of BYC has been such a wonderful experience for our family, and I'm always so impressed by the incredible opportunities these young singers get. If you know a young person, especially a teen aged 12 and up whose voice is changing or has changed, they absolutely have to check out the Bass Ensemble!

It's a truly special program here at BYC, offering specialized vocal training for lower voices. They learn to master challenging music, develop healthy technique, and really explore the full potential of their unique sound. What's even more incredible are the experiences they gain: performing on prestigious stages, collaborating with world-renowned artists like the New York Philharmonic, Barbra Streisand, and John Legend, and even contributing to exciting recording projects and impactful original productions like Port(al)!

The Bass Ensemble rehearses with the Concert Ensemble (high, treble voices) on a weekly basis to prepare mixed voice (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) repertoire for projects and performances.
