We are thrilled to announce that Brooklyn Youth Chorus will be performing at Bang on a Can’s LONG PLAY festival this spring!
From May 1–3, 2026, we’re joining a "supercharged musical ride through right now," taking part in a three-day destination festival that brings together over 60 concerts across our home borough.
As an ensemble dedicated to the music of our time, we couldn't be more excited to share the festival bill with legendary innovators and radical new voices. We will be performing works by renowned choral composer Caroline Shaw, singer-songwriter-composer Alev Lenz, and a world premiere by composer and 2024 Grawemeyer Prize winner Aleksandra Vrebalov. In a year that celebrates milestones for icons like Steve Reich and Philip Glass, we are proud to represent the next generation of vocal artistry and the vibrant future of contemporary music.
