Conductor and music educator KRISTOPHER BURKE (Men's Ensemble) teaches middle and high school choral music at the Packer Collegiate Institute in addition to conducting the Brooklyn Youth Chorus Men's Ensemble.
While under his direction, the Men’s Ensemble has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, the New York Philharmonic, C4 Choral Music Collective, Young at Heart Chorus, David Byrne, and others at BAM, Lincoln Center, the United States Capitol Building, the National Hispanic Caucus’s Annual Awards Gala, Kings Theatre, (le) poisson rouge, the Brooklyn Museum, and WQXR's The Greene Space. Kristopher also has administered the Annual Men's Ensemble Composer Competition since 2015.
As a singer Kristopher has performed with the City Choir of Washington, the Arts Chorale of Winchester Loudoun Lyric Opera, Os Ensemble and C4 Choral Music Collective. Kristopher has received a B.M. in Music Education from Shepherd University and a M.M. in Vocal Performance from Shenandoah Conservatory. He has also studied with conductor Rudolph Palmer; voice teachers Barbara Stenger, Dr. Byron Jones, and Jackson Sheats; and is a current participant of Carnegie Hall's Music Educators Workshop.
